Working as an educator in Mathematics, Humanities and the Arts, self-published author, designer, and self-taught visual artist Adam Davis showcases his creative talents in a myriad of ways. From designing and building custom furniture to photographing the red carpet at the Emmy Awards for BFA, Davis’ talents know no bounds. With an artistic focus on the complexities of Blackness, adolescence, and religion, Adam pools from his experiences in the church as well as works from authors James Baldwin, James McBride, Tressie McMillan Cottem, and many others to inform his practice. Born in Queens, New York and raised in Brooklyn, Davis currently resides in South Central, Los Angeles. He is currently working on a series of short films and photo projects set to be debuted within the next year. Davis is available for commissions both domestically and internationally.
